Christmas Treats Giveaway Hop!

Christmas Treats Hop
For Christmas, do you like getting books about the season or are you the type of reader that would rather have a book from your favorite author no matter what the theme? Do you want a sweet romantic story, like a Hallmark or Lifetime move, or would you rather have something not so sweet?
At different times in my life, I have loved the Christmas stories. I wanted the sappy, sweet, lovie-dovie type romance. While I have never veered off wanting a happy ending in a story I write or read, I don’t always want too sweet. I like some angst. What about you? What type of story makes you think wow, I really liked that book ?
For ebooks of the first two Montana Dream stories, Divine and Destiny, answer the above questions and leave your email address. Random.org will pick a winner from the website post comments.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

  1. I’m happy to read Christmas stories. While I do like a HEA I don’t always need it, but I do need a satisfactory ending. I do enjoy a book that is full of upheaval & strife. Makes for intense and exciting reading

  2. I love a great Christmas story that does have difficult situations, and then see them overcome in such a way to make me tear up at the end. No downers, please! People reunited, problems of long standing resolved, and love being spread. Those are the aspects I most look for.

  3. I don’t have to have books about the season but I would like something happy. I also would love a Christmas mystery with a lot of hijinks and funny scenarios. Something light and enjoyable.

  4. GIven a choice, I’d prefer books by favourite authors than those with a seasonal theme. Having said (written?) that, though, I tend to binge on holiday-themed romances this time of year. Every year, without fail. :)) I’ve read over two dozen quickies and novellas so far this month. I enjoy sweet and heat equally as long as the stories give me the warm fuzzies and happy feels. I’m good with straight-up smut, too. (In short, I devour everything as long as I have the time.)

I’m generally weak against angst, tbh. Some of the ones I’ve read are too obviously emotionally manipulative, and I hate that in my fiction, especially in my romance. Solid writing and a satisfying, but not necessarily HEA/HFN, ending make me a happy reader no matter what kind of story the book presents.

    Thank you, and happy holidays!

  5. I don’t particularly prefer seasonal, although I have nothing against that genre. The problem is that my TBR mountain is usually high enough that I may end up reading the winter books at the height of summer, lol. Thanks for the giveaway and Happy Holidays!
